PESTO MOZZARELLA STUFFED HOT CROSS BUNS

An Italian savoury twist on an Easter classic!

Ingredients for 6 Buns 3 eggs 4 cups of flour 1/2 cup milk Baking powder Olive oil Basil pesto Mozzarella

Mix in a bowl eggs, the milk at room temperature and the pesto. Add baking powder and gradually add the flour to obtain a moist but firm dough. Work with your hands till obtaining a firm not too sticky dough. Take pieces from it and create balls with your hands. Flatten them and stuff the centre with mozzarella cubes. Place in baking tray and brush the top with egg yolk and some more pesto and put in the oven at 180 for about 30mins!

Serve warm with some fresh basil pesto glazed on top or on the side for extra dipping!
